First method said you gotta write everything down immediately when you wake up. Set my alarm 15 minutes early Monday, grabbed this cheap notebook I had lying around. Alarm goes off – bam – I’m scrambling for the pen while half-asleep. Wrote about floating whales carrying suitcases? Looked at it later like “what junk is this”. Kept doing it all week though. By Friday, realized my handwriting got worse but the whale suitcase thing actually matched my work stress about travel.
Talking To My Pillow Like A Crazy Person
Next technique involved speaking your dream out loud. Felt ridiculous Tuesday morning sitting there describing rainbow tornadoes to an empty room. Used my phone recorder instead – still awkward hearing my morning voice crackle. But get this: when I replayed it during my commute, noticed I kept repeating “trapped” when describing that tornado. Lightbulb moment – been feeling stuck in my job hunt!
Third Try Was Just… Nope
The last method wanted me to meditate before bed to control dreams. Looked simple online. Thursday night lit candles, sat cross-legged on my carpet… lasted maybe three minutes?
