Well, I’ve always been curious about what my dreams mean. So, I decided to follow Freud’s interpretation of dreams to figure out where I should apply for something, maybe a job or a new course.
First off, I started by keeping a dream journal. Every morning when I woke up, I’d grab my pen and scribble down whatever I could remember from my dream. It was like trying to catch a slippery fish in a dark pond. Sometimes, I could only recall bits and pieces, but I wrote them all down anyway.
Then, I delved into Freud’s theories. I read some of his books and watched a few YouTube videos to understand how he thought dreams were a window into our unconscious desires. It was kind of mind – boggling at first. Freud said that dreams were full of symbols, and I had to figure out what those symbols meant.

One night, I dreamt I was in a big, fancy building with lots of shiny elevators. I spent days trying to figure out what that building symbolized. I thought maybe it represented a place of success or a high – status institution. So, I started looking into big companies and well – known organizations.
I made a list of places that fit the image of that fancy building in my dream. It was like creating a treasure map, but instead of X marking the spot, it was companies and institutions.
Next, I began the application process. I wrote cover letters, polished my resumes, and hit that send button. It was nerve – wracking, like jumping off a diving board into the unknown.
After a while, I started getting responses. Some were rejections, but hey, that’s part of the game. And then, one day, I got an invitation for an interview from a company that really matched the vibe of that dream building.
Going to the interview was like walking into the real – life version of my dream. The building was just as grand as I’d seen in my dream. And guess what? I got the job!
Looking back, following Freud’s interpretation of my dream was a wild ride. It was like taking a detour on a road trip and ending up in the most unexpected and awesome place. I learned that sometimes, our dreams can give us clues about where we should be heading, even if it seems a bit crazy at first. So, if you’re ever stuck on where to apply for something, maybe give your dreams a closer look!
