Woke up this morning feeling kinda fuzzy, head full of weird images. Honestly felt lazy hitting snooze. Forgot the notebook was even there for a sec! Fumbled around, found it, found a pen that only half worked (classic). Tried grabbing whatever pieces I could before they vanished:

Didn’t connect the dots between them. Just dumped words. Honestly felt silly writing “Ridiculous color” but hey, it popped in my head!
Step 3: Connecting Dots Later
Sat down again tonight, looked back at my morning scribble and the word-dump page from lunch. Shuffled them next to each other. Still looked random. Then I kinda just scanned the words I’d written:
Saw “Mystery,” “Stuck?,” “Out of place,” “Frustrated,” “Want to move,” “Heavy.” That kinda jumped out. Felt like a theme? Like maybe something new (blue door, mystery) is possible, but feeling stuck, frustrated, weighed down by old stuff? The childhood teacher thing felt like maybe an old authority figure or lesson holding me back… and the pink? Pure ridiculousness, making that old thing seem less scary? Just feeling the frustration about wanting to move forward but feeling stuck.
Boom. Didn’t hit me like some lightning bolt of wisdom, more like, “Huh, that could be a thing.” Doesn’t have to be deep or perfect. The whole point was just to start noticing.
What Worked (And What Didn’t)
- Notebook under pillow: Key. Would’ve forgotten it all otherwise. Phone would have been too bright and tempting to check messages.
- Immediate scribble: Imperfect but vital. Just get it down before the dream fades.
- Word-dump later: Easier than forcing meaning instantly. Less pressure.
- The connections: Barely even tried until hours later. Let it cook.
- Feeling silly: Totally normal! Still feel silly writing “pink tractor.” Gotta embrace the dumb stuff.
